Scottish Pacific offices around Australia were recently transformed by hues of yellow as we played host to the World’s Biggest Morning Tea. All our staff provided home-made (and let’s be honest, some store-bought) delights to for a decadent morning tea in the name of a good cause.

The annual event raises funds for Cancer Council Australia – the largest charity in Australia dedicated to research, treatment and prevention of cancers. 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer by 85, in Australia. Those staggering statistics reinforce just how important it is to ensure organisations like CCA continue to operate.

If a few morning munchies can help somewhat, then we’ll scoff down as much as possible. Donations were, of course, made by all involved and an incredible $2,687.10 was raised by staff. Scottish Pacific Debtor Finance is dedicated to supporting Australian charities with a dollar-for-dollar matching policy for any charitable endeavour undertaken by staff. Therefore, the total amount donated to Cancer Council Australia was $5,374.20.

That’s not bad for some cupcakes and lemon squash!
